This project explores the profound journey of grief and the emotional scars it leaves behind after losing a loved one. Through embroidery, I convey complex emotions, emphasizing sensitivity, resilience, and transformation.
The message is clear: invisible scars can be sources of beauty and strength.I brought this project to life with a unique Artist's Book, where each page represents different stages of grief.
Using raw cotton, black and white photos, and red threads for contrast, I create an intense emotional experience.
Notably, the book doesn't hide the reverse of the embroideries, symbolizing the hidden nature of emotions in grief. Imperfections, like life and death, are natural and worth celebrating.
